Portal is a puzzle-platform based game whose first part was released in 2007. It’s development and publishing company is Valve. The game is based on solving a puzzle by teleporting items using “the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device”, a device that can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes. The name of the character of this game is, Chell, who has to solve puzzles in the “Aperture Science Enrichment center” using a portal gun. Shell is challenged by an AI named GLaDOS, controls Aperture Science Enrichment Center meaning Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System. GLaDOS is the one who controls the ‘Aperture Science Enrichment Center’. Basically, the game had a plot of Half-Life Universe.
The second part of Portal was also released in 2011. Portal 2 added more features in Portal including tractor beams, lasers, light bridges, and paint-like gels that alter player movements.
Valve has released many blockbuster games such as Half Life, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Global Offensive(CS:GO), Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead and many more.
Portal 3 Release Date?
So far, we have waited more than 7 years for the official announcement of Portal 3. Portal series have always gave us experience of the world with Artificial Intelligence, which we are yet to experience in our real lives.
The officials have not even given a single hint that there is going to be a 3rd part of this amazing video game series. Although, the president of Valve, Gabe Newell, has replied to a question of a fan about Half Life Part 3, in an uncertain way that, “The number 3 must not be said. Yes, I personally believe all unidentified anonymous sources on the Internet” on a post on reddit. Now, who knows that this statement was in a sarcastic manner or not? Here is a glance of his reply:
