Pandora music streaming service has proved to be a stress buster for many people. You can tune in to the established genre stations, stations of other users and also create your own stations on the basis of your musical interests. You can use the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to vote whether you like the track or not and this also determines if the same type of songs should be played in the station. A second thumbs down to the same artist would ban him or her from one particular station. Thumbs down instantly skips a song but the number of skips is limited for every user unless you are a paid subscription user.
The service of Pandora is available as a free advertising-supported service and a subscription-based tier called ‘Pandora Plus’ and it has offline payback support that uses a prediction mechanism and more number of skips and replays. ‘Pandora Premium’ was launched in the year 2017 and this lets users to listen to and make playlists of individual songs on-demand. The recommendation engine is also useful for generating playlists of the same type of songs. Pandora has highlighted a use of machine learning and manual curation which includes filtering out low-quality content like knock-off covers and karaoke tracks.
But the service has its own internal issues that sometimes become bigger problems for the users. Recently, Sonos users have came up with various issues related to the music streaming service. Users said that they are having trouble in playing Pandora in their Sonos system where they are asked to enter a code for re-authorization but they are not able to find the code they need. Some users said that Sonos has been showing ‘system outage’ for Pandora at their homepage. A few others have said that they tried to use Pandora on Sonos but an error popped up saying that another user is using his or her account and this is definitely not true. If you have been facing the same type of problems, you can follow these steps to fix it by yourself –
- Make sure that the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network like the Sonos.
- Check for the Pandora app updates in the app store of your device and update it if you are using an old version of the app.
- Restart the Sonos device and the Pandora app in your device.
