Path of Exile PS5, Xbox Series X Release Date for 2021 ?

Path of Exile is a famous action RPG game that has managed to gain huge popularity with its unique and engaging gameplay. The game was released in March 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, PC. But with the next-gen consoles overtaking the console market, it is just a matter of time that popular games will be released for the same. So, will there be a complete PS5 version of PoE? Here’s everything you need to know.

Path of Exile- 2021

The game has been recently updated with an expansion 3.13 update with new contents and most of them being bug fixes. The devs have been actively participating in community discussions to make their game better and they sure will be working on the release of the complete PS5 version of PoE. However, for players who own a PS5, you will most probably know that PS5’s system also offers a backward compatibility mode. That means that you can enjoy all the PS4 games you own/downloaded on your PS5.

PoE can be played on PS5 using the backward compatibility mode. However, this doesn’t mean that every PS4 function will be available on the PS5, some are missing. There are some advantages as well. Your game will load faster and visuals are slightly enhanced. Although the game running on the backward compatibility mode on the PS5 runs decent, it can definitely get better if released on PS5 as a whole.

When will PoE be released for PS5?

Well, there is no definite answer to this question. For native support of PS5, all we can do is wait as the devs are currently focusing on bringing new content to the game and fixing some major bugs that are ruining the system. The PS5 release of PoE is surely under development and we might get to see it towards the end of 2021 or maybe 2022. @pathofexile(official Twitter handle) has also tweeted about the release of the game’s PS5 support in the future but no official release dates have been announced yet.

Path of Exile is currently playable on PS5 in backwards compatibility mode. Native support for the system is on our radar for the future.
