From just a couple of hours, we have gone from caring about the US elections to Dabi’s origins reveal and for the right cause too. What a reveal! It is so great because every single reader had the same idea in the back of their head. This reveal has gratified us in some way. Personally, I want to see Endeavor suffer for the way he treated his family. He used his wife as a breeding horse and isolated Shoto. It is a little sad that he is now the number 1 hero and the symbol of hope. Well, let us get down to My Hero Academia (MHA) 290 spoilers and MHA 290 raw scans.

The chapter opens with Todoroki Rei, Shoto’s mother getting up from her bed in a hospital room. The hospital staff runs to her room to turn off her TV. Rei was about to get released from the hospital soon. But the TV remains on and shows Dabi sitting on a chair, Rei’s eyes fixed on him.
Then we shift to AFO talking internally to Shigaraki as Machia arrives to the scene. AFO tells him that this time is perfect because, after Deku’s hit and Endeavor’s attack, his body can just crumble. Shoto combines with Nejire for a hit on Shigaraki as he cannot handle both Machia and Shiggy. But Machia intercepts grabs on to Shigaraki sending Shoto and Nejire to the ground. Ida carries Bakugo away because his injuries were grievous. Bakugo laments that he could not get his perfect victory. He tells Ida to put him down but Ida carries on.
In the next few panels, we see Endeavor having an internal dialogue. He apologizes for not defeating Shigaraki when he had the chance. He says that to Hawks. We also find out that one of his lungs is completely burnt. This puts his powers at a limit but he vows to not give up.
We see Dabi greeting Shoto and Endeavor from Machia’s shoulder. He tells them to not call him Dabi because Toya is a great name as he removes his hair dye to reveal his original colour! We shift back to the hospital where a fragile Rei watches Dabi saying he is Toya. Her expression of shock reflects the reader’s experience as well.
Dabi then tells Enji that he has been working to make him miserable. Endeavor cannot move forward from the past and it is here to haunt him now. “You reap what you sow, let’s go to hell and dance together, Todoroki Enji,” the last dialogue of the MHA 290 spoilers.
