Apex Legend: Olympus has Fallen? No new Map for Season 6

The past week has seen a fair share of controversy involving the news of a new map in Apex Legends. Some fans are hell-bent on proving the existence of the new map Olympus and others vice-versa.

Apex Legends publishers Rampart in an email chain have crushed the hopes of thousands of players. Every season cycle begs for rumors and predictions on new content but fans were most excited about the prospect of a new map! Olympus did make sense with Apex Legends’ previous content and character settings. In a fell swoop, Rampart has killed the idea of a new map. With Season 6 of Apex Legends to be released on 18th August and teasers being dropped left-right, Olympus looks out of the way. But Rampart can choose to drop a bomb.

With this teaser email sent by Rampart for Season 6, it seems Olympus is not in their books. The whole controversial debate trying to come with theories & predictions have been debunked. The email was sent yesterday.

Olympus is canceled: Apex Legends Season 6

The email was a promotional teaser for Season 6 that highlighted some of the details in it. Some of the details upcoming to Apex Legends are interesting in itself. This included upgrading your gear with new Crafting, a Volt energy SMG, Battle pass changes, and more. But what really caught our attention was the addition of the line ‘revamped map’. This clearly states that Rampart will be giving us some changes to the existing map.

This also goes with the teaser trailer and caption dropped by Playstation EU two days back. The tweet said that Season 6 will come with a new World’s edge. Considering both these tweets and the timeline of Season 6, we can conclude that there will be no new map in Season 6 of Apex Legends.

As for the details of the new and better map, it is just static from the devs. We also believe that Olympus has not been entirely scrubbed from the plans but merely delayed.
