Original Post (March 25): Samsung, the brand which always hits big with its impressive flagships. As we already know, the Galaxy S series and the Note series are top of the line premium flagship lineups offered by Samsung. Samsung devices run on One UI, a custom OS developed by Samsung. Samsung has rolled out One UI 2 update for almost most of its devices. The remaining ones will also be getting the update soon. While these devices were busy getting the One UI 2 update, the whole internet was splashed with the news of One UI 2.5. Samsung has now come up with one more major update for the Galaxy S10 series and the Note 10 series.
One UI 2.1 Update:
The Galaxy S10 series and the Note 10 series devices are receiving the latest One UI update with the latest April security patch. Well, it’s not the One UI 2.5 but is something amazing with a lot of new features. The One UI 2.1 update is now officially rolling out for these devices. Currently, this update is only rolling out in Germany and some other regions. However, the update will soon hit all the units worldwide.
Well, it’s not any minor update and comes with many amazing features and improvements. The update brings with it the latest April security patch. The update also brings along with it all those much-awaited fixes and improvements. We also several new features like a new AR Emoji, 4k 60fps video recording out of the selfie camera and many such features.
We also get to see a night Hyperlapse feature, music share, and Quick share as well. The update brings an overall improvement and stability to the system. The user experience is now much smoother than before and it feels good to use. You can also see the changelog given below, which is sadly in german.
The update is rolling out with the firmware version G975FXXU4CTC9/ G975FOXM4CTC5/ G975FXXU4CTC5. The OTA update is around 1.55 GB in size.

AR Emoji
- AR Emoji has been updated with improvements such as a manual editing function and advanced facial expression recognition.
- Since AR-Emoji has been updated to a new version, all previously saved AR-emojis will be deleted the next time you open the AR-Emoji app.
New camera functions
- Various menus, modes and filters have been added, such as: B. AR zone, single take, professional video, own filters, selfie sound, time lapse for the night and a mode for recording videos with the front camera in FHD / UHD at 60 fps.
Gallery
- Similar images are now grouped together to ensure a more organized viewing experience.
- A function has been added that allows you to combine several different groups of albums in one group, or to combine different groups and albums in one group.
- An improved search function has been added to search images based on information such as the time or location of the image.
- The “Quick crop” function has been added to enlarge or crop parts of images with high resolution.
Samsung keyboard
- A function for multilingual translation has been added.
- A function has been added to search for different elements like emojis and stickers at the same time.
- An “Undo / Redo” function for text has been added. (Swipe left or right on the keyboard with two fingers.)
- An icon to open Samsung Pass has been added.
Quick Share
- With Quick Share, files can now be shared quickly and easily with nearby Samsung devices.
Music Share
- With Music Share you can share music with your friends via a Bluetooth audio device.

All the devices from the S10 series and the Note 10 series are getting all the new features of One UI 2.1 update. However, Note 10 is not receiving the Night Hyperlapse. Apart from that, it will be getting pretty much every other feature from the update.
As of now, only the S10 series and the Note 10 series are only getting the updates. We are not sure which other devices will be getting the updates. The schedule of One UI 2.1 update for other devices is also not yet known. However, we expect many other Samsung devices to be getting the latest One UI 2.1 update very soon.
