Conan Exiles is probably one of the most complex and unique survival games that you can play. From the beautiful graphics to deep game mechanics, it has been going strong since its release in early 2018. With the new update going live and the return of the Bounty Hunter event, a lot of players are playing the game right now. Now, while the game is primarily meant for multiplayer gameplay, if you are a hardcore exile, you can go solo and take matters into your own hands. But before you do so, you will need to know the best settings for your solo experience to be enjoyable. Well, here we are with those settings!
While on a single-player run, the most optimal settings can come in clutch by making sure the world is balanced. By adjusting these settings, you can control how hard the game is, how fast you gather resources, and how tough enemies are. Even though the settings are a bit subjective and depend on personal preference, with some of the settings listed below, you will be able to balance the challenges and make your adventure more enjoyable as you explore, build, and survive in the Exiled Lands!
Best Conan Exiles Single Player Settings (2024)
Assuming that you have admin permission for your server, which is needed to make the changes in the settings, here is what you need to do! First, pause the game and then head to the Server Settings tab. Here, click on the Make me Admin button and then enter the admin password. You will now see a list of different possible settings for your server on the left side of the Server Settings tab. With this, you are all set to apply the changes listed below!
General Settings
First of all, set the Difficulty level to civilized since you are going to play solo. If you are confident enough, you can even go with the Decadent option. Barbaric, however, might be a tad bit more of a challenge for single-player runs. After this, skip all the PvP stuff and then make the following changes:
- No Ownership: Unchecked
- Containers ignore Ownerships: Checked
- Enable Sandstorms: Checked
- Enable Guild Map Markers: Checked
That is about it for the most important parameters in the General Tab for solo play. You can leave the rest to the default values and move to the next tab
Progression
In this tab, you will have to set the sliders to specific values to get the best experience. While it is subjective, you can start with the values we have recommended below.
- Player XP Rate Multiplier: Keep it at 1
- Player XP Time Multiplier: 2
- Player XP Kill Multiplier: 1
- Player XP Harvest Multiplier: 2
- Player XP Craft Multiplier: 1
You don’t have to make many changes to these values. Remember, increasing the XP multiplier significantly will make the game a cakewalk and will surely take the fun away from the game. So, only increase the values when you think it is absolutely necessary.
Day and Night Cycle
- Day Cycle Speed: 24 hours in-game takes 30 minutes. For solo play, the recommended value is 0.5. This will make the full-day cycle last 60 minutes, allowing more time for activities during both day and night.
- Day Time Speed: Default: Again, keep this at 0.5 to extend the daytime to 30 minutes, providing more daylight for exploration and building.
- Night Time Speed: Increasing this value to 1.5 will shorten the nighttime to 7.5 minutes, making it less challenging during the night!
- Dawn/Dusk Time Speed: For Solo Play, keep the value at 1 so that dawn and dusk transitions are balanced, typically around 2.5 minutes each with the above settings.
- Use Catch-Up Time: Enable this setting to make sure new players or rejoining players start at a specific time, such as dawn.
