Unfortunately, as of writing this article, there is no concrete official news or information regarding the compatibility of Kingmakers on the diverse platforms of Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, Asus Rog Ally, MacOS, and Linux. No leaks or rumors have surfaced to provide even a glimpse into the potential support on these platforms. Perhaps it is still too early for those leaks, as right now, the game does not even have a fixed release date. All we know is that it will be released sometime in 2024. To make things more uncertain, the minimum system requirements needed to play the game have not been revealed either. Without this crucial information, speculation on whether the game will seamlessly run on handheld devices or cater to MacOS/Linux environments remains purely hypothetical.

Compatibility Speculations

Though it’s early, we can make some guesses. The Steam Deck might be left out entirely, or if the game is playable, it might not be a smooth experience. On the other hand, due to their powerful hardware, the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go will most likely be able to handle the game, albeit with lower graphics and FPS. This speculation comes from the game supposedly using Unreal Engine 5. A powerful engine that might be better handheld by the better specs of Ally and Go as compared to the Stem Deck. Now, when it comes to macOS/Linux support, while the game may not be officially supported, we are hopeful that resourceful players will come up with ingenious workarounds to be able to play the game on devices running macOS and Linux.

Finally, keep in mind that these are just early speculations and should be treated as such. If official information regarding the same is revealed, we will update this article accordingly.
