The Crew Motorfest is Ubisoft’s latest title and the third mainline entry to The Crew series. Officially released on September 14, 2023, it is available on all major platforms except for the Nintendo Switch. Reception around the game has been mostly positive, with some criticism generated towards the premium currency and lack of major innovations. Besides all that, TCM has some issues, like “DualSense controllers not recognizing on PC“, that need to be addressed immediately. However, as per recent reports, many players have started to encounter the Error Code 0_35 during their playthrough of the game and, as such, are looking for a fix. This error code in particular is a connection error. It’s an age-old error that was present in previous games of the series too. So, is there a fix for this? Let’s find out!
The Crew Motorfest Error Code 0_35: Is there any fix yet
For the time being, players will have to make do with the provided potential workarounds since an official fix has yet to be released. Although these aren’t official fixes, they can be quite effective. So consider trying them one by one.
Check your internet connection –
Since this is a major connection-related error, we suggest you first check if your internet connection is working fine or not. Ensure that there are no interferences and try doing a restart of the router too.
Switch to Ethernet –
Players who have been using Wi-Fi to connect to the internet are recommended to plug in their Ethernet cables and then check if the error code still shows up or not. Compared to Wi-Fi, Ethernet is much better, as you get an uninterrupted connection and faster speed.
Check the server status of the game –
This error is a common sight during server maintenance. So the best thing to do here is to simply check if the game’s servers are down or not. Now that The Crew Motorfest doesn’t have a dedicated server status website, the next best thing would be the social media accounts of the game. Both Twitter(X) and Discord are the best sources to get official updates on the game’s server status.
Restart the game –
You can also try restarting the game if you haven’t done so already. Although there’s no guarantee that it will completely resolve this issue, since there’s no downside to this workaround, try it. Additionally, restart your PC or console after restarting the game.
Allow the game through the firewall –
The Windows firewall sometimes tends to block an application’s access to the internet due to false triggers. While rare, it does happen, and if you are encountering this error code 0_35 in The Crew Motorfest, chances are that the same has happened. So, here’s what you need to do:
- Open Windows Settings and head to Update & Security.
- Next, click on Windows Security, and then do the same with the Firewall & network protection option.
- In the new window, scroll to the bottom and select the “Allow an app through firewall” option.
- Another new window will pop up. This is where we will alter the settings. However, for that, we need to click on the “Change Settings” button at the top right-hand side of the screen. You will be prompted for admin access. Give it.
- Next, find The Crew Motorfest in the list below. If it isn’t there, then select the “Add another app” option at the bottom.
- Now, once you have found or added The Crew Motorfest, tick the Private and Public options.
- Click OK to finish the process.
Disable VPN –
If you are using a VPN while launching the game, consider disabling it. VPNs can cause a variety of issues related to connectivity and it can be the reason why you are encountering this error code in The Crew Motorfest.
