Now, this workaround involves using the Deck’s Desktop Mode to initiate the sign-in process, temporarily exiting the game to sign in through a browser, and then returning to the game to complete the sign-in. It seems that by signing in through the browser while in Desktop Mode, the game is able to recognize the login when you return to it. - Switch to Desktop Mode: Hold the Power button on your Deck, and find the Switch to Desktop Mode option. Select it.
- Launch the Game: After loading into the Desktop mode, launch Marvel Snap.
- Click Google Sign-In: Within the game, click on the option to sign in with Google.
- Attempt to Open Browser: When prompted to open a browser window to sign in to Google, confirm the selection. However, the game may ask if you want to exit when attempting this.
- Exit the Game: If prompted to exit the game, choose to exit temporarily.
- Sign In via Browser: On your Steam Deck, open any browser (Chrome or Firefox).
- Keep Browser Open: On the browser webpage, keep the browser window open even if you receive a “webpage no longer available” error.
- Relaunch the Game: Return to the game in Desktop Mode and relaunch it.
- Click Google Sign-In Again: Within the game, click on the option to sign in with Google once more.
