Diablo 4 season 2 release date & Season 1 end date

If you’re playing Diablo 4, then you’re probably aware that the game is going to feature different seasons, just like its predecessor, Diablo 3. The concept of seasons was first introduced in Diablo 3 itself. Blizzard decided to add a feature that would resemble the Ladder system of Diablo 2, and eventually, they introduced the Seasons feature. Now, the first season of Diablo 4, named Season of the Malignant, will kick off on July 20th, 2023. While fans are already waiting in anticipation for the first season, it doesn’t really stop there. Yes, after the huge success of Diablo 3 and its seasonal updates, fans are more than excited to know more about the upcoming seasons of Diablo 4. This means all the queries surrounding the release of Season 2 of Diablo 4 and the end date of Season 1 are already surfacing on the internet. If you are looking for details on the same, consider reading until the end.

The first season update of Diablo 4 will bring in a lot of additional content and seasonal rewards. However, it is recommended that you complete the campaign of Diablo 4 before July 20, as the seasonal content will only be accessible after you do so. Once you do this, you can create a new character in the Seasonal Realm and select the Skip Campaign option to access the new questline of the Season 1 update. Blizzard will also be adding a Battle Pass that players can complete to collect rewards. Due to all the exclusive seasonal content and rewards, the season updates are quite popular among Diablo players. Thus, naturally, fans aren’t content with only knowing what the Season 1 update will bring to the game and its release date. They also want to figure out when exactly Season 2 will come out and what they can expect from it, in addition to the end date of the upcoming season. So, without any further ado, let’s discuss the elephant in the room.

So, before we start talking about Season 2, you should get an idea of what Season 1 will be offering. Season 1 of Diablo 4, Malignance, starts on July 20th, and big battles await the players. This season will enable the players to take on the Malignant Monsters and make their way through a replayable dungeon. Well, this season will also feature a new boss, Varshan the Consumed, and we are quite sure that defeating it probably isn’t going to be an easy task. But it sure will be engaging and outright attractive for the players. Other additions include:

  • Seasonal Journey (7 Chapters): Contains a variety of objectives to complete
  • New Aspects
  • New Battle Pass
  • QoL Changes
  • Season Blessings, and more

Overall, if you’re hyped up for the first season of Diablo 4, we totally understand your excitement.

Season 1 End Date (Confirmed?)

Well, Diablo 4’s Season 1 is expected to end on October 9, 2023. We got this information from the Gameplay Guides video shared by the official Diablo YouTube Channel. But since the update hasn’t been officially released in the game as of now, this information is subject to change.

Season 2 Release Date (Speculation)

Now that you know about the content featured in Season 1 and when it is going to end, let’s discuss when Season 2 of Diablo 4 is expected to be released. For this, we would have to take a look at Diablo 3’s seasonal updates and understand its release pattern. The first season of Diablo 3 came out on August 29, 2014, and ran until February 3, 2015. After this, the second season was released on February 13, 2015, and it ran until April 5.

So, from this, we can speculate that if Diablo 4’s first season is going to end on October 9, 2023, the Season 2 update will be released around 5–10 days after it. This gives a potential release date of October 15–20, 2023, for Diablo 4 Season 2. But do note that this is all speculation from our side, so make sure to take it with a pinch of salt. We will update this article with more information once we get it. Until then, for more such gaming-related content, stay tuned to DigiStatement!
