Running Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on your PC via an emulator is one thing; getting good frame rates without choppy gameplay is a whole different ball game. If you do not know what we are talking about, then Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is now out as a Nintendo Switch exclusive title but that has not stopped the PC gaming community from finding a way to emulate and run the game on their PCs. Ryujinx and Yuzu are the two popular emulators widely used by players to run the game. Although they do a good enough job running the game, external mods are required to maintain a steady frame rate. And, in this guide today, we will walk you through the process of installing the Dynamic FPS Mod for Ryujinx and Yuzu emulator to play Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on PC.
Note: Before emulating the game on your PC, make sure you have a legit copy of the game. We don’t promote piracy of any kind, and Nintendo is strict against piracy as well.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to install Dynamic FPS Mod For Ryujinx & Yuzu Emulator (PC)
Like any other mod in the game, this one requires you to download a file and then place the contents of the downloaded file in a specific folder. As always, we have curated this step-by-step guide to do the same to make things even easier for you. Now, before we begin, you will have to make sure that a particular 60 FPS mod is installed on your emulator. If you don’t have it yet, no need to worry, we have a detailed guide on installing this mod for both emulators with a link to download the mod file. You can read the tutorial to install the 60FPS mod here. With that out of the way, take a look at the steps to install the Dynamic FPS mod on the emulator:
- Start by downloading the mod file by clicking on this link.
- After downloading, extract the contents of the file and copy it.
- Now head to this path, %appdata%/Roaming/the folder with the name of the emulator that you are using (Ryujinx/Yuzu).
- Here, you will see another folder named “load”.
- Inside the load folder, you should see another folder with a long string of characters.
- Paste the contents of the downloaded file into this folder.
- Next, open the emulator and right-click on the game from the library.
- Head over to Properties and check any unchecked boxes in the “Add On” tab.
If the installed mods do not appear in the Add-On tab, then all you have to do is reset the meta cache. To do so, go to Emulation>Configure>System>Filesystem, and here at the very bottom in the right-hand corner, you will see a button that says Reset Meta Cache. Click on it, and then make sure both the 60FPS and Dynamic FPS mods are active.
