The cause of the shrine door bug
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet does feature a few issues but, it is still a very enjoyable pokemon game. The in-game bugs in particular are what annoy players the most. After looking more into this matter, we found that this has been the case for most of the Shrines in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, including Icerend, Grasswither, etc. We suspect it has something to do with a bug with a stake that despite collecting all of them refuse to open the shrine. Is there any potential fix available to bypass the shrine bug? There are a few things that you can try to mitigate this and we’ve mentioned them below.
Is there a potential fix for the Shrine door not opening in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
Many players on Reddit stated that they were able to get around this issue by saving and shutting down the game completely. After relaunching, the issue seems to be fixed, but that’s not the case for the majority of the players.
In case you are facing the same, make sure to disable Autosave before restarting. The final thing you can do is to check all green and yellow stake locations as they are identical looking. One can easily confuse them with each other so visit all the locations again and see if a shrine has spawned. After this, try opening the shrine door.
