Fixes and Workarounds for Marvel’s Midnight Suns not launching?
Perform a clean installation of GPU drivers
If the game is giving you issues like not launching or crashing, performing a clean installation of your Graphics Card drivers can help you get past that. To do a clean installation, follow the steps below-
- Open your Web Browser and go to NVIDIA or AMD Website, and snag the latest drivers of your graphics card from there.
- If you have NVIDIA GPU and after downloading the driver, double click on it and click on “Agreed and Continue”
- Click on the “Custom” tab and click on “Next”.
- Tick the “Perform Clean Installation” checkbox and click on “Next”.
- Let it finish and reboot your PC.
Toggle DX-11 in the launcher.
- Open Steam Library and right click on the game and select Properties.
- Click on the General tab and in the launch options, add -dx11 or -dx12 and see which one works out for you.
- Launch the game and the issues should be fixed.
Launch the game as Administrator
- Open Steam, go to Library, right-click on Marvel’s Midnight Suns and select “Manage” and then “Browse Local Files”.
- Now, access the game’s .exe file from the directory, right-click on it, and click on “Run as Administrator”.
- After this, launch the game.
Verify the game files
There’s a good chance the files of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on Steam are corrupted or missing which is why you’re facing the game not launching error. This method will fix that so follow the steps below to verify the files.
- In your Steam Library, right-click on the game and select “Properties”.
- Click on the “Local files” tab and then select “Verify the Integrity of Game Files”.
- Once it’s done, start the game and the error will no longer be present there.
Remove 2K launcher
- Open Steam and go to Library where your games are, right-click on Marvel’s Midnight Suns and select Properties,
- Go to the General tab and in Launch options, input the following command in the section –
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\\Marvel’s Midnight Suns\MidnightSuns\Binaries\Win64\MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe” %command%. Keep in mind that it will work for the default drive and if you have the game installed elsewhere, change the drive name at the start of the command. - After that, close the window and play the game.
Open Oculus app
If you have the Oculus app installed on your PC, open it and then launch the game. Many people confirmed they were able to get into the game using this method.
