How to get water in Farthest Frontier?
As Farthest Frontier is a colonial sim, and since most of the water sources are underground, you need to build a well. It will allow the people to draw water for drinking and other uses like agricultural purposes, and cultivating fields. What you have to do is go to the build menu and in the resources section, you’ll see the option for Basic Well. Select it and the Basic Well will be erected on the surface, however, make sure to do it in places on areas that are darker and blue. It will also grant you the “Water Bonus”, meaning you’ll be able to draw more water. Ideally, placing it in the center of the settlement makes more sense. However, for getting the bonus, you can also go for that.
Things to keep in mind when building wells
Over time, you’ll have to build and upgrade more wells to keep up with the rising population of your settlement. You can also upgrade the wells using various materials that’ll help with their durability. Upgrading them costs 30 Gold, 5 Iron, and 15 Stones, and require the town center to have Tier 2 level. While you can construct a well at the center of the village, we implore you to create a well on the darkest tile near the vicinity of your settlement. The water bonus alone will make up for all the requirements of the population. We also recommend you look for the best water spots and construct as many wells as possible to avoid any water issues.
