How to switch characters in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 is a very successful MMORPG. It is based on the popular First Person Shooter playstyle and is more of an RPG by nature. It has character classes and has large raid bosses which need multiple people to take down. Destiny 2 also has a very wide roster of weapons, some of which are too overpowered to feature in an FPS game. Despite this, Destiny 2 has made a name for itself in the gaming world. Currently, it offers you the choice to play as a chosen character or a chosen class. If you are someone that wants to experience more than just one character, you can switch between characters in Destiny 2. In this article, we are going to be going over how to go about making this switch between characters in-game.

How to switch characters in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 is a character and class-based game at its core. Certain characters and classes have abilities and they are all different from each other. Thankfully, it is easy to switch characters in Destiny 2. It often happens that you are not satisfied with the character you initially chose in this game. If they do not match your playstyle or their abilities are not the easiest to use, you may want to switch characters. The developers anticipated this and have made it much easier to do than before.

How to switch characters in Destiny 2?

Switching characters in this game is simpler than in most MMORPGs. In most MMORPGs, you are usually forced to start over from scratch and cannot use any previous character traits on the new one. Thankfully, in Destiny, this is only partly the case. In this game, if you already have another character, you can continue their storyline instead of having to build them up from scratch. Here are the steps to switch between characters in Destiny 2;

  1. Open the Inventory menu.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Find and select Gameplay Settings.
  4. Here, click on Clan Invite Notifications.
  5. Under this section, you will be able to see the Change Character option.
  6. Clicking on this will allow you to choose or make a new character from the available roster.
  7. If you have never made a character before, you will need to start from scratch. If you already have a character, you can use this to continue their progression.

This is how you switch characters in this game. As we mentioned, there are multiple reasons for wanting to reset the character and we encourage all of them. Games like Destiny 2 are about growing and having fun and we support an enjoyable gameplay experience.
