Monster Hunter Rise is a massive game. It has a very large map and some very detailed biomes. These biomes are full of dangerous creatures that you may have to fight if you were to travel on foot. In order to avoid fighting most of these monsters and enemies, the game gives you an alternative. This alternative is a Great Wirebug. It is a type of static tool that flings players along a predetermined path. In this article, we are going to be looking at Monster Hunter Rise: How to get Great Wirebugs.
Great Wirebugs are static tools used to ease the traversal of the massive map in Monster Hunter Rise. It can also help you scale some incredible heights or avoid fighting monsters entirely between two places. These can be placed down on certain points permanently and can be used when you are at those points. If you are tactful and careful with when you press the interact key, you can basically travel through the map at incredible speeds. Unfortunately, the game has so many biomes that you will probably struggle to get enough wirebugs to place down and use to travel through them.
Monster Hunter Rise: How to get Great Wirebugs?
Luckily, it is pretty easy to get these great wirebugs in Monster Hunter Rise. The only challenge in getting these wirebugs is finding the right NPC to speak to. Speak with the Senior Hunter Hanenaga who is to the right of the Smithy and to the left of the Buddy area. Once you have done this, progress with his quest line till the time he calls you and gives you 11 Great Wirebugs. You can only place these on Jewel Lillies around the different biomes and nowhere else.
Once you are out of the wirebugs, you can go speak to him again for more. He will give you enough to place on most biomes. The issue really becomes finding the Jewel Lillies to place them on. Once you place them on a Lilly however, it is permanent. It will stay there for the rest of your playthrough and not move at all. These become reliable points of fast travel or to get out of tough situations. If you are cornered in a biome or on the run, you can use them to get out of there quickly. You can also use their speed to move between biomes quickly if you are trying to gather resources or looking for monsters in a particular biome. As mentioned above, if you are tactful and good with timing, you can press the correct buttons to travel further and faster. You can fling yourself to another bug and instantly move forward by using the specific key to interact with them.
