There are plenty of good games that were buried under the rug, to sudden changes, and Ubisoft’s promising title, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of the games that got the rough treatment. Fans who played the original game on their PS2, Xbox, PC, and Gamecube were delighted with the announcement of the sequel back in 2008 which showed gorgeous visuals, and ten years later, followed with a gameplay reveal that showed open-world traversal, combat, and open-world exploration that looked amazing. Well, sadly after this, there were no announcement or news of it releasing until this year that we finally knew what exactly happened to this game. Continue reading the article to know more about Beyond Good and Evil 2 and if it will be arriving on Nintendo Switch.
What happened to Beyond Good and Evil 2?
It is not new if several franchises get canceled due to various factors like budget, investors losing interest, etc and there were many that never got to see the end of the light like Legacy of Kain. The first Beyond Good and Evil delivered a great experience when it comes to storytelling, combat, and interesting characters and fans enjoyed it back in 2003. The sequel was later announced in 2008 and for nearly 10 years, there wasn’t any peep about the game until the 2017 trailer when devs shed more light on the game that serves as a prequel to the original game.
This again filled many with hopes that they’ll get to play the game and that the gameplay looked phenomenal. However, the hype didn’t last long as the game didn’t show up at E3 2019, and still to this day, many people don’t know if it will be arriving or not.
Is the game canceled?
Many were almost convinced that Beyond Good and Evil 2 was canceled until recently Ubisoft Barcelona posted a tweet about looking for animators for one of their ambitious projects, hinting that the game is still in the pre-production stage, which is very early in development for a game that was announced to fans six years ago. At least the fans are glad that the game isn’t canceled and there’s still hope of seeing it.

Is Beyond Good and Evil 2 coming to Nintendo Switch?
Sadly there’s so much uncertainty about the game that we have mixed feelings. The 2017 gameplay footage showed the amazing open-world, traversal system, combat, and cutscenes that showed promise. Given that the game is still in the pre-production stage, and the game hasn’t been confirmed for release, we doubt it will come to Nintendo Switch as the mechanics of the game are far too complex for Nintendo Switch to run at a stable 30 FPS.
