The term “calibrate” in Destiny 2 simply refers to the part of a quest where you just have to use your weapon to kill things. Likewise, it is a term that is mainly seen in quests. Some of the quests in the game tell players to calibrate weapons as well as specify a particular weapon to calibrate. Therefore, a player has to simply use that specific weapon to kill things in the game in order to get a reward. The most common task in the game regarding the calibration of a specific weapon is usually to get 30 Kills with Auto Rifles or 30 kills with snipers. The rewards for the completion of such tasks are usually materials that you can use for gear upgrades.

It is one of the easy tasks that players can perform to earn additional rewards during quests. Likewise, players have to simply use a specific type of weapon in order to calibrate them and earn a reward for it. Thus, the calibration of a specific weapon or elemental type simply means performing kills with that specific weapon or elemental type. For example, a quest may include the requirement to perform a bow calibration during the quest. This means you simply have to get kills with a bow. Similarly, if a quest requires you to perform an arc calibration, you have to get kills using an arc weapon.
