The game has established itself as one of the best action-adventure games in the industry. Players get a chance to explore the expansive world of Hyrule and take on enemies. The game offers a wide range of weapons, armor, and shields for the players to choose from. Hyrule is also rich in minerals/gems, which can be farmed by the players for various uses. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom includes exclusive minerals that can help players earn some extra rupees and also upgrade their armor. Amber is among the list of minerals found across the map of Hyrule. The specific locations this mineral spawns make it essential for players to remember the areas by heart. However, if you are reading this guide, you don’t need to remember them at all.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Farm Amber

One of the best and most assured ways to get Amber is to defeat the Battle Talus. These are mini-bosses that roam around with mineral ores on top. You can easily stun them using Bomb Flowers and fusing them with any kind of arrow. This will give you an opening to climb on top of them and extract Amber from the mineral ores on their heads. The Battle Talus will immediately burn, and two Bokoblins will appear. These enemies are rather easy to defeat; just use your sword and swing at them repeatedly. Killing the Bokoblins will produce more Amber for you to collect, as well as other items like Ruby. However, these enemies do not spawn everywhere. We’ve mentioned ten possible locations and their exact coordinates where you can easily find the Battle Talus in Tears of the Kingdom.

  • Romani Plains, northeast of the Lookout Landing: 0230, 0504, and 0038
  • Crenel Road (Orsedd Bridge), northeast of Central Hyrule: 0580, 0519, and 0024
  • Windvane Meadow, south of Central Hyrule near Whistling Hills: -0126, -0840, and 0031
  • Sahasra Slope, northwest of Necluda: 1257, -1092, and 0111
  • East of Batrea Lake, near Nabi Lake: 0805, -1211, and 0026
  • Hills of Baumer, near Deya Lake: 0557, -1905, and 0077
  • Gleeok Bridge West, west of Hyrule Field near Regencia River: -1365, -0826, and 0011
  • Washa’s Bluff East, south of Hyrule Ridge near Tomio River: -2497, -0046, and 0129
  • North Hyrule Plain, northeast of the Hyrule Ridge: -1434, 0976, 0131
  • Hyrule Castle West, south of Central Hyrule near the Hyrule Castle Moat: -0787, 0758, 0044

The locations mentioned above are all you need to visit to collect Amber. Although you can also visit caves in the Whistling Hills and Sahara Slope to collect extra Amber from the mineral ores found there. The Royal Hidden Passage also consists of some chests containing minerals, but you will only be trying your luck finding Amber in one of them.

Lastly, it is important to remember that during the Blood Moon, which happens every 168 minutes, the Battle Talus will respawn, and you can again collect Amber by following the same instructions. Anyway, this brings us to the end of the guide, and we hope the information provided above helps you farm as much Amber as you want.
