Tears of the Kingdom draws certain elements from BoTW, like the weather conditions and many of the locations across Hyrule. What makes this game unique is that the developers have worked further on the foundations laid by BoTW. They have added certain new locations, landscapes, and features in ToTK that give the fan a classic yet refreshing experience. The wells are one such element that is introduced in ToTK. ToTK is an open-world action-adventure game, and it’s set in the fictional world of Hyrule. You play as the character named Link and complete the quests to save Hyrule Castle from the enemies. ToTK being an open-world game means you get to explore the world of Hyrule to your heart’s content. And while you explore Hyrule, you might come across a number of wells, 58 in particular, which you can jump into to explore. Once you get inside a well, getting out of it can be a bit tricky, but it’s not impossible.
How to Escape the Wells in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
If you went inside a well to explore it, and now you want to escape, there are three ways you can do so.
Ladders
A number of wells in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will have a ladder that you can use to climb up. If you remember using a ladder when you were descending into the well, then you can use it the same way to escape. It is perhaps the easiest way to escape a well in the game. Ascend ability
Your character has the new ‘Ascend’ ability, which he can use to ‘lift off’ from any flat surface. Since the wells do not have too high ceilings, you can simply use your ascend ability to escape the wells. However, if even that doesn’t work, we have one more option for you.
Fast travel
If you descend into a well or a cave, you can use fast travel while you’re underground. This will make your character appear in another part of Hyrule. Using this, you can appear in your desired location and escape the well in one go.
