The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has smashed all doubts about it being just a “glorified DLC”. Nintendo has created a world much larger than Breath of the Wild and filled with interesting locations and quests to do. That too, all in just a meager 16GB of storage space. If you enjoyed playing Breath of the Wild, you will love Tears of the Kingdom too. The sequel adds to that true open-world experience, and thanks to the new gameplay mechanics, ToTK is absolute fun. While the game certainly introduces lots of new stuff, it also welcomes back mechanics and equipment from BoTW. For example, lots of armor sets that were in BoTW are also included in ToTK. The Barbarian Armor is one of them.
As we explained earlier, Tears of the Kingdom brings back lots of past features from its predecessor, Breath of the Wild. Players who have played the prequel will be able to recognize many of these features. Nintendo has also introduced new armor sets and weapons. Each is unique and useful in its own way. And with the new fuse mechanic, you can pretty much turn anything into a weapon or armor. Now, if you didn’t already know what Barbarian armor is and what it does, here’s a helpful guide for you.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK) Barbarian Armor Set Location: Where is it
The Barbarian Armor is one of the many Armor sets that make a return in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from its 2017 prequel game. When worn together, the set gives Link boosted attack power.
Like all other armor sets, the Barbarian Armor set’s pieces are also scattered throughout the world of Hyrule. There are three pieces to search for – Barbarian Armor Chest, Barbarian Armor Legs Piece, and Barbarian Armor Head Piece.
Barbarian Armor Chest (0484, 0729, 0041)
The Barbarian Armor Chest can be found inside the Crenel Hills Cave. The cave itself is located southwest of Crenel Hills and northeast of Lookout Landing. A helpful way to locate the cave is to look out for Luminous Stones near that area. The cave has a lot of them. Once inside it, heading to the center will bring you face-to-face with a Stone Talus. Fortunately, you can avoid the whole fight. Stay close to the wall on the left and continue heading in a circle. On the other side, you will see a pile of large, luminous stones. Destroy them using a bomb arrow, and a path will open above. Climb into it and a chest will be there with the Barbarian Chest piece inside.
Barbarian Armor Legs (3931, -2070, 0128)
The leg piece is located inside the Walnot Mountain Cave, below Retsam Forest, and east of Hateno Village. The entrance is easy to find as it’s near a large body of water. This cave has pretty tough enemies, so it could be a challenge to fight them without proper gear. However, you aren’t required to fight them. You can make a run for the piece. Enter the cave and keep running until you notice an ice-type Like Likes. To its, left side you will see a large opening. Jump and use your paraglider to enter it. Use fire to melt the ice that is covering the chest. Once melted, open the chest and you will be rewarded with Barbarian Leg Wraps.
Barbarian Armor Headpiece (2492, -1477, 0014)
The Barbarian Helm can be found inside the Robred Dropoff Cave which is southeast of Kakariko Village. Like the Walnot Mountain Cave, it’s easy to find this cave’s entrance too, as it’s nearby a bunch of statues. Once you enter the cave, you will find more statues. Follow in the general direction of where the statutes are pointing. After some time, you will find yourself in a large room with multiple stone statues. All of them will be in groups and facing the center of the circle except for one group, which is facing directly at a rock wall. Use a bomb arrow, bomb flower, or any rock-infused weapon to break that rock wall.
Next, you will find yourself in a room full of Bokoblin enemies and a rock wall in the center. Defeat the enemies or ignore them and destroy the rock wall. Once you have created a wide enough gap, jump into it. Keep walking along this new path, and eventually, you will find three stone statue groups. Walk near the group with three stone statues and use your Ascend ability. Next, you will find yourself in a room with a chest at the end. Open it to receive the Barbarian Helm or armor headpiece.
