Xiaomi Mi A3 is one of the most loved and perhaps the most hated Xiaomi devices at the same time. We pretty well know what the users went through before they finally had a somewhat stable Android 10 update. Xiaomi had a very tough time preparing a stable Android 10 update for the Mi A3. The stable update came a few months back after Xiaomi’s continuous endeavor to deliver a stable update after delivering a plethora of successive buggy updates. The good news is Xiaomi is now rolling the Mi A3 June update for users.
Keeping that aside, the Mi A3 is one of the best and also the latest Android One devices from Xiaomi. Well, the device is now picking up the June 2020 security patch. Xiaomi is rolling out the update globally for all the Mi A3 units. However, not a lot of users have received the update. A few Europen Mi A3 units have picked up the June 2020 update.
The update comes in with the firmware version V11.0.16.0 QFQMIXM and the OTA package weighs as less as 45.90MB in size. Xiaomi says that, as of now, the update is available for only 1% of Mi A3 users. That being said, you don’t have to worry if you haven’t received the update yet. Xiaomi is rolling out the update in batches and will soon expand the rollout for more users globally.
Talking about the features, we don’t get to see much with the tiny update package other than the June 2020 security patch, of course. However, the update does highlight some specific Android 10 features including Dark Theme, Gesture Navigation, and Privacy Controls as you can see above.
We don’t exactly know as of when the update will be available for all the users globally. However, the rollout will take some time before it is finally available to all the users. Xiaomi is adapting this strategy to look out for possible bugs in the update. If there are no such issues or bugs with the update, the rollout will soon be made available to all the users globally. That being said, you might have to wait for a little more before you get the update.
