In the year 2020, we saw some great phones from Xiaomi. From mid range to high end flagships, the company did not fail to impress. The company usually launches their flagship phones in the first half of the year, in February. But this year, they released their flagship a little early. Mi launched the Mi 11 smartphone in the last week of December 2020, with some great specs and camera combination. So, when and what can we expect from the launch of the MI 12?
Xiaomi MI 12 Display
Mi 11 was essentially the MI 10 Ultra, with a lot of its feature carried over but with a new processor. Speaking of Mi 11, it has a 2K display with a 120hz refresh rate. The display has very subtle curves along all the edges which gives an immersive experience while using the phone. With the MI 12, we expect Xiaomi to better this amazing OLED display with 144hz refresh rate, to target the rising mobile gaming community. The Mi 12 should also have some great sounding speakers as did its predecessor which were branded by Harmon Kardon.
Xiaomi Mi 12 Specifications
MI 11 is the first phone to be launched with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888, which was released recently. We expect the next iteration of the series to be powered by the latest and most powerful SoC available in the market at the time of its launch. We expect the phone to have options of 8-12 gigs of RAM and internal storage of upto 512GB. Expansion through microSD card would also be nice to see in the MI 12.
Xiaomi MI 12 Release Date
Xiaomi usually launches their flagship in the February month , but during the launch of the Mi 11, they did things differently. The company launched the Mi 11 in December, probably to gain a headstart before the launch of the S21 series and the CES event. We expect the Mi 12 to be launched by the end of 2021. Although, Xiaomi currently has not revealed the specifications or the release date of the MI 12, we expect them to announce the details when the launch date nears.
