The beta version of XDefiant was available for a while, and if you’ve played it, you’d know that the game certainly had a few issues. The official release, unfortunately, has apparently retained these issues as well. The problem primarily lies with the multiplayer party feature in the game. Players have reported a bunch of issues with XDefiant’s party mode. The major problem is, of course, that the XDefiant party not working. We understand how frustrating it can be if you’ve planned a game with your friends and some technical glitch just ruins all the plans. In this guide, we’re going to try and help you out with the party mode in XDefiant. XDefiant, straight from one of the most prominent developers in the gaming world, Ubisoft, is a fan-favorite title. Of course, if you’re offering such a capable first-person shooter game for free, it’s definitely going to make a mark. And, to be fair, XDefiant did do its job quite well. People did love the game, and its popularity has only seen an upward trend. But, these problems, like the one we’re discussing here, jeopardize the game a little. While there aren’t any official fixes available on this issue, you can try out the workarounds mentioned below and see if they work for you.

Check Your Internet

Before you jump to other workarounds, a simple fix that you can try is ensuring that you have a stable connection. You can use an Ethernet cable instead of wireless connections to improve your network connectivity. If you have a strong network and are still facing this problem, then follow the next steps.

Restart game

A simple workaround is to just restart the game a couple of times, and this should fix the issue. If it doesn’t, then try the next fix.

Check the Server Status

You can check if the servers of XDefiant are online, as that can affect the party mode. You can check it on this website. If the servers are down, then unfortunately all you can do is wait it out. Once the servers are back online, run the game, and see if the issue persists.

Verify Game Files

  • Open Ubisoft Connect PC and go to Library.
  • Select XDefiant from the list of games.
  • Now click on the options (three-dots) button.
  • Select the “Verify Files” option.
  • Run the game and see if it works.

Ensure Your Party Has Same Crossplay Settings

Before you invite your friends to join the game with you, do ensure that all of you have the same Crossplay settings active. The best choice is to turn off Crossplay if all of you are joining from the same platform.

Enable Ubisoft Overlay

  • Open Ubisoft Connect PC and click on the three-dots button on the top left corner of your screen.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Under the General section, find the option that says “Enable in-game overlay for supported games“, then click on the checkbox to enable it.
  • Run XDefiant and see if the in-game party issue is fixed. This fixed the issue for a player, so give it a try.

Contact Ubisoft Support

If none of the previous workarounds worked for you, then the last option is to connect with the support team at Ubisoft. Visit the official support website to raise a ticket, and hopefully, your issue will be fixed.
