Fishing Planet Update 5.0.0 New Map & More

The June 5th major update of Fishing Planet added a bunch of new things for the fans. Of course, there’s the new map that we’ll talk about but that’s not all. The update has added many more new things and you ought to have a detailed list of these additions. So, here goes:

Kaiji No Ri, Japan

The 5.0.0 patch update has added a new map to the game, namely Kaiji No Ri. A Japanese area, this new map will feature 400 sq. km of ocean with 18 dynamically moving fish species. If you go fishing, you’ll find some good catches, such as Bluefin Tuna, Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Bigfin Reef Squid, and much more. You can access Kaiji No Ri if you’re on level 83, with a maximum level cap of 90. For players who aren’t there yet, the map is available if they purchase a DLC pack with a Pond Pass.

Ocean Water Simulation

The experience is heightened by the exclusive ocean water simulation with new types of waves and intense storms. As the weather and wind patterns change dynamically, it’ll change the appearance of the ocean. You also get a brilliantly designed sound system, with the sounds of birds, waves, and the wind.

Sea Life Simulation

The update features a dynamic sea life with predatory fishes, birds hunting for bait fish, dolphins, and even blue whales. You’ll also come across cruise liners, regattas, and trawler boats, resulting in a realistic maritime experience.

Fishing Together

Now, depending on the ship you choose, you can invite 2, 3, or 4 other players to go fishing with you. Choose a large boat and enjoy a nice ocean adventure with your friends. You’ll also earn additional XP bonuses for fishing together.

New Fishing Yachts

The developers have added a bunch of new fishing yachts in Fishing Planet (and all of these support the Fishing Together mode). You can rent a two-player boat with in-game credit or you can purchase the larger Scutum™️ and Volans™️ boats. These boats come equipped with new features such as larger built-in fish storage, FishFinders 360™️ for detecting fish underwater, a new navigation map, Echo Sounder, Compass, and Speedometer panel.
