In the world of Wild Hearts, Kemono creatures are the primary adversaries of hunters, having grown to enormous size through a unique evolution process that fused them with their natural surroundings. Azuma is home to two kinds of Kemono: the Giant and the Small. During Wild Heart’s main storyline, players will need to hunt the Giant Kemono, which is a much more powerful adversary. Each Giant Kemono has its own unique set of strengths and weaknesses, so it’s important to conduct research prior to engaging in a hunt. On the other hand, the Small Kemono are generally harmless and can be disregarded or interacted with to obtain valuable loot. You can find out how to pet a small Kemono in the game below.

Wild Hearts: How to pet a Kemono –

In order to pet a Kemono, you have to first find one. Next up, you have to approach the Kemono while crouching and sneak up from behind until the “pet” option becomes available. However, it is also important to note that you can only pet smaller Kemonos, as giant ones are meant to be hunted and cannot be petted. Giant Kemonos are aggressive and are likely to attack you. The smaller Kemonos are passive and passive Kemonos that do not attack players are easier to pet than aggressive ones.

Although smaller Kemonos are less aggressive than giant ones, they will retaliate if the petting attempt fails. It is important to note that unlike slaying a Kemono, petting one is not the same when it comes to what you can get. While slaying a Kemono will often result in meat and skin drops, petting one grants players unique rewards.
