Why does GeForce Now have a time limit?Geforce Now

Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud game streaming service has a time limit mainly to keep up with the demand. Likewise, it is a game streaming service that has tons of users. The service uses servers to stream as well as provide gameplay to its users. Consequently, all the servers have to keep up with all the users who want to play games on the service. Therefore, a time limit is given to players so that other players who are in the queue have their chance to play games. After playing for a time limit per session, players can rejoin the queue in order to get their chance to play again.

A workaround for players who have a problem with the one-hour limit is to simply upgrade their membership. Likewise, the 1-hour time limit per session applies to free users as well as Standard Access members. Thus, players can simply upgrade their membership to either Priority or Exclusive Access Membership to get longer play hours per session. More accurately, players who have a Priority Access Membership get 6-hour plays per session. Additionally, those players with an Exclusive Access Membership get 8-hour play per session. After reaching the time limit of the game session, players can simply rejoin the queue. It is important to note that the queue wait time is exponentially lower for paid members.
