What games are compatible with Steam Deck?

The Steam Deck supports games from your Steam library. Likewise, players who own the new handheld can simply play the games from their existing library. Although all the games in your library may not be playable, most of the popular games are. Additionally, you can also check whether the games from your library are playable on the Steam Deck. You can do this by following the steps below.

How to check the compatibility of games from your Steam library with the Steam Deck –

For players without the Steam Deck –

  1. First and foremost, you have to change your profile privacy to public. You can do this by navigating to Steam > Your Profile > Edit > Privacy settings and changing game details to “Public”.
  2. Next up, you have to open up the Steam app and navigate to your profile page.
  3. On your profile page, you can click on the “edit profile” option on the top right.
  4. Now, you have to find the field for the custom URL.
  5. You can then reveal your Steam ID in the URL format just below that. Likewise, you have to copy the code.
  6. Then, you can use your Steam ID (the custom URL) to find your Steam64 ID number by using the Steam ID finder tool. 
  7. Finally, you can now go to visit the CheckMyDeck tool and use your Steam64 ID number to check your library as well as their compatibility with the Steam Deck. 

For players with a Steam Deck –

Compatibility for games in your Steam library:

  1. Firstly, click on the Steam button on the console.
  2. Then, you have to scroll to your Library. 
  3. Finally, you can find games compatibility within two categories- Great on Deck and All Games.

Compatibility of games via the Store:

  1. Firstly, hit the Steam button on the console and choose Store.
  2. Search for any game that you want to find compatibility for.
  3. On the top right corner of any game’s page, you can find a section for Steam Deck Compatibility. This is similar to the round symbol on the thumbnails that indicates the level of playability.
  4. Then, you can find out whether the game is Verified, Playable, or Unknown next to the symbol.
