What does Snaking mean in Call of Duty (COD) Modern Warfare 2 (II)?Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

“Snaking” is a term that has been popular in the Call of Duty franchise for a long time. Likewise, it is a term that simply refers to a strategic movement technique in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It is the movement technique where a player takes cover behind an object and then switches swiftly between prone as well as crouching positions. The use of this repetitive movement is therefore termed Snaking.

Snaking can be an exploit of sorts in the game. It allows players to land shots against opponents while making it hard for opponents to do the same. In some cases, the use of Snaking can make your character appear head-glitching from the opponent’s perspective. This can be a very useful tactic to confuse opponents in the game. It is one of the many exploits that Call of Duty players use during matches. There is also a possibility of it getting patched by developers because it can be an overpowered exploit when used properly.

Does Snaking offer unfair advantages during matches?

The short answer is Yes. However, there is a caveat to this answer as Snaking is not a hack or a cheat in the game. It is simply an exploit within the game that can be very advantageous for players who know how to use it. Likewise, it is in that way similar to other exploits in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 like slide-cancel. Some players may feel that these exploits are unfair but that they are legal and cannot be compared to cheats or hacks.
