When it comes to niche games, there’s nothing more niche than weed-related games. One look at online digital video game stores, and you will soon realize just how few weed games are out there. And whatever games we do have range from being good to pure shit. Fortunately, Weed Games’ Weed Shop series can be grouped into the former category. The newest entry into the Weed Shop series happens to be Weed Shop 3. For the uninitiated, Weed Shop 3 is a simulation and management title where you focus on growing the new variants of weed while also hiring growers, befriending influencers, and much, much more. Suffice it to say, if you are a fan of these types of games, you are certainly going to enjoy playing Weed Shop 3. And many already have. That’s why many in the Weed Shop community have been asking for the release of the next Weed Shop game.
There are just so many sequels that have yet to see the light of day. Ubisoft’s Beyond Good and Evil 2 is vaporware at this point; fans are still holding hope to see Sleeping Dogs 2, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, while confirmed, is yet to even get a release date. And these are all pretty big games with a lot of followers. The Weed Shop series, on the other hand, is very niche. But despite all that, fans of the series are still holding out hope for the release of Weed Shop 4. So, when is it coming? Is it even in development?? Continue reading to find out!
Weed Shop 4 Release Date: When it will be available
Well, at the time of publishing this, there haven’t been any announcements or information regarding the release of Weed Shop 4. From the official website to the Discord server we checked, none of them mentions Weed Shop 4 being in development. This is certainly unfortunate news for fans of the Weed Shop series.
As we stated before, the latest entry into the Weed Shop series, as you know already, is Weed Shop 3, which was released back in April 2022. The game, while certainly being very niche, was received positively by fans of the series. Furthermore, in October 2023, Weed Games released Weed Shop III: Ultimate Edition, which added a new gang storyline, an end game, fixed a ton of bugs, and a lot of other things.
Weed Shop 4 Release Date (Speculations)
Now, despite Weed Shop 3 still being supported, we are yet to see any signs of Weed Shop 4 currently being in development. Weed Games hasn’t released any new games in a while, so it could also be that they have stopped developing games. In fact, even the bestweed.games website managed by Weed Games hasn’t been updated for some time. Now, if we go by the numbers, there’s usually a gap of 3 to 5 years between Weed Shop titles. The first one was released back in 2014, then Weed Shop 2 became available in 2017, and the latest, Weed Shop 3, was launched in 2022. If you go by this pattern, Weed Shop 4 can be released in 2025 or later. But at the end of the day, these are just mere speculations from our side and nothing more. So, if you are waiting for Weed Shop 4, you better enjoy other games, as we don’t really think you will be seeing Weed Shop 4 release anytime soon.
