Vrchat is a online game that offers a virtual reality social platform. It was released as a standalone application for Windows and Oculus Quest by Graham Gaylor and Jesse Joudrey. Vrchat enables its players to interact with others as 3D character model. In brief, it makes it easier to create and explore virtual reality.
In the recent update, it allowed its player to send custom message while inviting or responding to any invite. If player is a VRC + supporter he/she can attach a photo with the message as well. Coming to the topic, players are facing certain issues, they are as follows :
- While playing the screen transforms to a black screen with the quest’s loading symbol for a second. During this period, players can’t even move or hear any audio.
- While logging in, the screen goes blank and the user is not able to do anything.
- The screen freezes and goes blank after some time
Are you facing similar issues ? We are here to help you out. Follow this workaround to solve the problem
1) First bring your computer to its desktop
2) Next right click on your desktop and select “Display settings”
3) Lower the resolution down from the recommended (I changed to 1600 x 900)
4) Try to clear the cache for the game by accessing the App data of the game. You can access the App Data on your C Drive or you can directly input this path in your explorer %Homepath%\AppData\LocalLow\VRChat . Then restart your computer.
5) Launch the game and hopefully I didn’t waste your time
6) After launching the game you can go back and revert your monitor resolution.

Other than above mentioned steps, you can also check these generic troubleshooting methods.
Verify your Network connection
Check the speed of the network you are using. Try getting closer to the router or restart your router.
Re-install the app
Try re-installing the app .Deleting the app clears all the memory. As a result, the bug creating any issue is also deleted. This might fix the issue.
Verify the Version of the App
Ask and check if your friend has the same version, the one you are using. And if any update is available, update the app. This might solve the problem.
Check the status of the Server
Verify if the server is not down for some reason . You can also check the status of the server from here.
Oculus Quest Headset
Check if there is no technical issue in the headset you are using to play the game.
If none of the steps work :
-> Restart your video drive and refresh your monitor.
-> Remove all the non-essential devices.
->Turn off the Motion Reprojection in the SteamVr settings.
->Do not access the SteamVr Overlay while operating VRChat.
-> Try decreasing your resolution, not sure for what reason but it has worked for some users.
-> Reset your avatar.
