Vivo devices have a huge fanbase and get a lot of love from people. These devices run on their Custom OS called Funtouch OS. The latest iteration as of now is the Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10. Vivo has already rolled out the Android 10 update to a couple of devices, but there are still a lot of devices that are yet to receive it.
A few weeks back in March, Vivo announced the Android 10 Beta program for the Vivo S5 and other devices from the Nex series. According to the official Android 10 roadmap released by Vivo, the Vivo S5, along with other devices from the Nex series, were scheduled to receive the Android 10 Beta update in April. Well, it seems like Vivo is right in time to deliver the updates.
Funtouch OS 10 Beta Update rolling out:
A few weeks back Vivo rolled out the Beta updates to all those users who enrolled for the Beta program. A couple of devices from the Vivo Nex devices have received the OTA update. Not to forget the Vivo S5, of course. The new update brings Android 10 to these devices along with many other interesting features. We get to see many UI changes and tweaks that make the experience even better than ever. We also get to see tons of new features alongside system improvements and optimizations for optimum performance.
The Beta Funtouch OS 10 OTA update for the Vivo Nex A comes with the build version 8.9.15 and is around 3.71 GB in size. On the other hand, the Vivo Nex Dual Display is receiving the OTA update with the build version 6.8.12 and is around 3.45 GB in size. While we are not pretty sure about the Vivo Nex variant with the on-screen fingerprint, the Vivo Nex S is also receiving the OTA update package.
Along with the rollout of this Beta update, a couple of devices, including the Vivo S5, Nex series, and the 4G and 5G variants of the Vivo Nex 3, now run the Beta Android 10 update. But, wait, things are not yet over. It seems like Vivo also has some surprises for its users. This surprise is rather interesting and a piece of much-awaited good news to all those Vivo users.
While the Beta updates were meant for users who enrolled for the Beta program, Vivo is currently rolling out the Beta update to all the units worldwide. The OTA update is rolling out globally and is also available to those who didn’t enroll in the Beta program. The latest update comes with the build version 8.8.10 and is around 3.34 GB in size.
