Valheim has announced a brand new patch update, which comes with several changes. The developers announced on their Steam News Hub today that the new update, namely 0.146.8 will begin start rolling out. Here’s what we know:
What is Valheim?
A survival and Sandbox game, Valheim has been created by a team of 5 developers, and has been positively acclaimed by the gaming community. Known for it exceptional storyline and 3D rendering. The game follows our player through an extensively well developed fantasy world based on Norse mythology. The game begins at the center of the city of Valheim, and gets more difficult the farther away you get from the center and explore the world.
Valheim 0.146.8 patch update
Today the Swedish developers announced the new patch updates and what it means for the game. The early access game has been a dark horse in terms of the critical reception it received. Though some mechanics haven’t been included in the game yet, most famously the ability to save your inventory in case you die on a mission, the game has sold a whopping 4 million copies in it’s budding days on Steam.
The new patch update was announced on the game’s steam News page and contains a list of changes we can expect. most important updates include the socket backend, which will help players get a better connection. The company has vowed to make the bosses more challenging, highlighting the fact that they are being killed too easily. Other changes as mentioned on their news hub include:
* Crafting item-dupe bug fix
* Harpooned player & ship bug fix
* Fixed player ragdoll
* Bonemass,Moder,Yagluth difficulty tweaks
* Moder music updated
* Tombstone bugfix (probably wont fix disappearing tombstones though)
* Fixed world corruption caused by pressing ALT+F4 while logging out.
* Deathsquitos have slightly longer audio range
* Tweaked audio on blast-furnace & spinning wheel
* Shared map position setting is saved per world
* Updated network stats (F2)
* Building destruction drop-fix
* Vulkan support in windows builds
* Network disconnection bugfix
Currently available on Steam, the game developers reportedly have plans to launch the game to other modern generation gaming platforms like the Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5. However, nothing has been confirmed as of now.
