V Rising gives you the freedom to explore over a very vast map, and there are times when going from Point A to Point B can get very boring. Just imagine how bad Assassins’ Creed Odyssey would have been without the inclusion of a fast-travel feature. I for one cannot imagine traveling 8k meters to a greek state while listening to the voice of Alexios.
So, as you can see, fast traveling can be an extremely useful feature if you know how it works. But, fast traveling in V Rising isn’t exactly a very straightforward mechanic. And that is exactly why today we have made this guide to help you guys understand how to fast travel in the game. Let’s get straight to it.
V Rising: How to fast travel
The system can get quite confusing if you’re a newcomer to the game. So, just follow along and read the steps carefully to learn how to use the fast travel mechanic in this game.
- For the foremost step, you are going to open your map. Now, if you’ve played the game for a while you should be able to see a lot of green doors. These Vampire sanctuary-type things are called Sanctuary Waygates. They serve as fast travel destinations and hubs. They can be used to fast travel between each other.
- It is important to note that you can’t fast-travel with your entire inventory, you can only fast-travel with your gear which consists of all your weapons and tools, so before you fast travel make sure that you’re traveling light.
Now, there is an interesting addition to fast traveling in the game. Once you have successfully defeated Polora the Feywalker, you will gain the ability to build these Vampire Gateways to fast travel through. Now, the game doesn’t let you bring any materials back to your base but it does make it very easy to get to the spot where you’re going to farm materials. So, essentially fast traveling cuts your entire journey in half. V Rising’s fast travel mechanic may not be ideal. But, it serves its purpose and makes life way easier.
