UNO keeps crashing on startup on PC : Here’s how to fix it ?

UNO is a game of cards. Unlike a standard deck of 52 cards, this game uses a different set of colored cards. This game has been a major part of any family gatherings for a long time. In this digital era, it is apt to launch an electronic format for the game. UNO! is available on Steam, PC, Android, and iOS. Unfortunately, we have to discuss the UNO keeps crashing on PC issue.

The deck of cards in UNO is divided into 4 colors. Other than the numbered cards from 1 to 9, 5 additional cards can change the flow of the game. These special cards are Wild card, Skip and reverse card, and then draw 2 and draw 4 cards. You can follow up on the rules of the game from the UNO! official website.

Fix for Crash on PC

To solve the crashing issue on PC, you have to follow any of the two steps.

  1. Close Background Apps – This error is related to active background apps running on your PC. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del keys to open the task manager. You can also right-click on the Windows taskbar and click on Task Manager. From the Background Processes tab, kill any app related to RAM cleaner. Just to be sure, also kill processes for any other games or overlay apps.
  2. Disable Windows Sonic – It is an unverified cause for this issue. However, players have reported that disabling this feature does solve the error. From the Windows search bar, type Sound Settings. From the Advanced sound settings option, disable Windows Sonic. In case you do not find the feature, try searching in a different tab.

These tips will solve the crashing on start issue that you have been facing on PC. Just to be on the safe side, you can also verify the file integrity from Steam. Right-click on the game and click on properties. Under local files, click on verify game cache. This will scan and fix all the missing game files.
