Tour De France 2022 Release Date for Windows, PS5, PS4, Xbox One & Xbox Series X

The rights to the official Tour De France video game have been passed around quite a bit, and right now, they lie in the hands of Cyanide Studio, who have developed both Tour De France 2021 and Tour De France 2020 and will face the task of developing next year’s title, Tour De France 2022. In this article, we will be taking a look at when Tour De France 2022 could be coming out, and for which platforms it could be coming out. Right, let’s get straight into it.

After years of looking for a consistent developer for the official Tour De France series, it seems as though we may have finally found our pick in Cyanide Studios. They have a host of experience in developing bicycle racing games with their previous yearly franchise, Pro Cycling Manager, and have clearly put their past knowledge to good use in the Tour De France video games. It would not be surprising to see the studio get the nod from the rights owners to develop next year’s game, Tour De France 2022 as well.

The officials at the Tour De France have officially announced that 2022’s event will feature a women’s Tour De France for the first time ever, and will span over eight days. While it is not clear how this additional race will be fitted into the schedule alongside the existing race, we can be sure that Cyanide will be adding this mode to their Tour De France 2022 video game.

The reason behind the success of Cyanide with the licensing of the Tour De France is the fact that they strive to perfect every detail of the race, whether it be adding in the official brands of helmets, visors, and water bottles, or improving the intelligence of fellow racers to simulate the game better.

We can expect to see Tour De France 2022 releasing around July or August of 2022, going by the releases of the two prior yearly releases.

We hope you enjoyed this coverage of the Tour De France video gamesl. Make sure to check out our articles on SnowRunner 2,  the potential Shang-Chi game, and the leaked info about Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles. Cheers!
