The Front Game How to get More Followers

In the gritty, post-apocalyptic world of “The Front”, survival is a constant struggle. You need all the help you can get to fend off enemies and build a thriving base. One way to enhance your chances of survival is by recruiting followers who can aid you at crafting stations and various other workspaces. These AI companions provide invaluable buffs and bonuses, but recruiting them isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of getting more followers in The Front! So, continue reading this guide until the end.

Followers in The Front are like loyal allies who stand by your side and assist you in different tasks. You can assign them to benches and workspaces around your base, and they’ll work to provide you with various benefits. These benefits can range from crafting speed boosts to resource-gathering efficiency. However, the challenge lies in recruiting them in the first place.

The Front Game: How to get More Followers

The Front Game How to get More Followers

You won’t be able to recruit followers in The Front until you’ve constructed a Simple Jammer. Head to the Tech tree and navigate to the “Tech” section. At the bottom, you’ll find the Simple Jammer device. You’ll need a handful of them to get started with recruiting followers. To craft one, you will need the following resources:

  • Iron Ingot x2
  • Tape x2
  • Ether Shard x2

After crafting enough of them, follow the steps given below to get a follower!

  • First, you’ll need to find enemy camps. These camps are where potential followers can be found. Your followers-to-be will be guarding these camps.
  • Once you’ve located an enemy camp, you’ll need to weaken the enemies guarding it. This can be done by attacking them. You can use firearms or melee weapons, but be sure to leave the enemies with low health. You’ll know they’re ready for recruitment when a small icon appears above their heads, resembling a broken chain.
  • Now, it’s time to use your Simple Jammer device. Throw it at the weakened enemy. This will immobilize the enemy, making them ready for recruitment.
  • Interact with the immobilized enemy and navigate to their favorite food tab by pressing or holding the Inventory button on them. Different enemies prefer different foods. Make sure to provide them with their favorite food to fill their inventory. This will increase their obedience level which is the primary parameter for recruiting.

Monitor Obedience and Chaos

While recruiting a follower, two important bars come into play: the Obedience bar and the Chaos bar. The Obedience bar increases each time they consume their favorite food. However, it’s a slow process, so you’ll need to be patient. The more you supply their favorite food, the more progress is made on the Obedience bar.

However, the Chaos bar represents how much time the follower has left before they regain their mobility. If it reaches zero, you might lose the opportunity to recruit them. To recruit a follower successfully, their Obedience bar must reach 100% before the Chaos bar reaches 0. If their obedience drops, you can always leave and try again. Well, once the obedience bar is at 100%, hold the interaction button on the NPC and choose the “Subdue” option. This will make the enemy your loyal follower.

You can now command your new followers to visit your base. Once at your base, you can manage their inventory and assign them to different crafting stations and workspaces. Remember, early on, you can only have one follower with you at a time, so plan your recruitment strategy accordingly. As you progress in the game, you will be able to have more followers to assist you in survival and crafting. And that is how you can get more followers in The Front.
