The First Descendant How to unlock ultimate weapon Thunder cage

Are you enjoying The First Descendant? The reviews on Steam have been “Mixed” so far but since you clicked on this guide, you are grinding it out. That being said, you might be confused about how to unlock the ultimate weapon, Thunder Cage, in the game. Well, being a fresh game, many players like yourself want to get their hands on this Ultimate weapon but aren’t quite sure how to unlock it. Well, just keep reading this guide until the end while we walk you through the process.

Thunder Cage is a submachine gun in The First Descendant. But what makes it great is that it shoots electric shockwaves that look like thunder, hitting enemies nearby. In addition to this, when you get a kill, there’s a chance that the enemy will blast off, creating an electric shockwave and damaging other enemies around it. This makes the Thunder Cage great for fighting groups of enemies and gaining crown control. So, here is how you can unlock it!

The First Descendant: How to unlock ultimate weapon Thunder Cage

The First Descendant How to unlock ultimate weapon Thunder cage

Unlocking the Thunder Cage involves completing a series of missions to gather four specific components: the Thunder Cage Polymer, Thunder Cage Synthetic Fiber, Thunder Cage Nano Tube, and Thunder Cage Blueprint. After which, you can craft the Thunder Cage. First of all, play through the campaign until you reach a point where you need to talk to characters Sharon and Jeremy in Sterile Land. Then, the hunt for those components will begin. Here is how you can get those four components!

Thunder Cage Polymer

  • Location: Sterile Land, Battlefield Mission: External Reactor.
  • Objective: Just complete the mission, solo or with a group, to receive the Thunder Cage Polymer as a reward.

Thunder Cage Synthetic Fiber

  • Location: Sterile Land, Repository Area, Battlefield Mission: Kuiper Mine.
  • Objective: Again, the Thunder Cage Synthetic Fiber will be rewarded once you finish the mission.

Thunder Cage Nano Tube

  • Location: Restricted Zone, Battlefield Mission: High-Power Jammer.
  • Objective: Follow the quest, complete the mission as normal, and get the Thunder Cage Nano Tube.

Thunder Cage Blueprint

  • Location: Ironworks Outpost, Battlefield Mission: Logistics Facility.
  • Objective: The final piece! Take on this mission and complete all the mission tasks and you will have the Thunder Cage Blueprint.

Return to Albion

Once all four components are collected, return to Albion. Find and speak to Anais to initiate the crafting process. You will need a few things first, though. That being:

  • Gold: You will need 100,000 gold. (Note: You can accumulate gold through missions and gameplay. (Spending real money is an option but not necessary.)
  • Mastery Rank: Make sure you have a Mastery Rank of at least Rank 1.

With all the requirements and the components, you can craft the Ultimate Thunder Cage. This process takes 4 hours. You can spend real money to speed up this process, but we don’t recommend it unless you just cannot wait for the weapon. Once the 4 hours are up, the Thunder Cage will be available for use. Also, after crafting the Thunder Cage, it will start at level one. Use the level transmission feature to upgrade it to match your current level for the best results!

Well, we hope you now have your hands on the Thunder Cage. With that, we are signing off but remember to stay tuned to DigiStatement for more guides and news on all things gaming. Read more: The First Descendant: How to play with friends & invite them?
