- The method to open the social menu varies. For PlayStation, press the touchpad on the controller. For PC, you will have to press the M key, and on Xbox, press the View button on your controller. This will open up the map and on the right side, you will see the Social Menu’s tab. Click on it.
- Once in the Social menu, look at the top of the local players’ section to find your character name. Your character name will include a unique identifier, which is crucial for cross-platform play. This identifier is in the format Name#1234.
- Share your unique identifier with your friend(s). This allows them to search for you within the game.
- Now if you have your friend’s ID, go to the Player Search option in the Social menu, and enter your friend’s full name including the hashtag and number.

- Once your friend accepts the request, they will appear in your in-game friends list.
