According to the Steam discussion on which this error was reported, not many players are facing this error and it is occurring due to some issue with internet connection or some region issues in the game. Therefore, you can try to launch the game using a VPN. VPN allows you to virtually change your current location and connect you to a different server from your current server. This method resolved the issue for a majority of players and therefore, you can also give it a shot. Moreover, a reply from the officials is still awaited.
