Sultan's Game Save File Location Where is it

Whether you’re looking to back up your progress, experiment with risky choices, or recover from a fatal misstep in Sultan’s Game, knowing where your save files are is essential. The game might thrive on moral chaos and unpredictable outcomes, but that doesn’t mean your save files have to vanish into mystery, too. In this quick guide, we’ll show you exactly where to find your Sultan’s Game save file location so you can tinker with, protect, or restore your kingdom at will.

If you are someone who has been gaming on a PC for a while, you might know where to look for these saved files. Still, to make it clear for the OGs and the newcomers, we have shared the steps to find the saved files on your PC. Also, for those who have finished the game and are looking to play further, we have a neat workaround at the end for you to try.

Sultan’s Game Save File Location: Where is it

Sultan's Game Save File Location Where is it

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you locate your Sultan’s Game save files on your PC. This method works for the vast majority of Windows systems where the game is installed via Steam or similar platforms.

Save game file location

  • Open File Explorer: Click the folder icon on your taskbar or press Windows + E on your keyboard to open File Explorer.
  • Navigate to Your User Folder: In the File Explorer sidebar or address bar, go to:
    • C:\Users\”. You’ll see a list of user profiles. Double-click the one that matches your current Windows login name.
  • Reveal the Hidden AppData Folder: The folder you need, AppData, is hidden by default. To reveal it:
    • Click the View tab at the top of File Explorer (or the “…” menu if you’re using Windows 11).
    • Checkmark the box for Hidden items inside the Show option.
  • Go to the Save File Path: Now, navigate through the following folders in order.
    • AppData → LocalLow → Double Cross → Sultan’s Game → SAVE
  • Once inside the SAVE folder, you’ll see your saved game files.

The saved game files will be in the .json format. You can now copy the files and store them in a separate folder or drive. Move them to another PC or profile, or replace current save files with older ones if something goes wrong in-game.

Bonus!

After reaching an ending in the Sultan’s Game, many players find themselves wanting to rewind a few rounds—maybe to make different choices or explore alternate paths. However, simply deleting save files doesn’t always let you resume from an earlier point, as the game may lock your progress or overwrite key data. To fix this, first, turn off Steam Cloud saves to avoid overwrite issues. Then, delete all saved files except the one you want to revert to and rename that file to auto_save.json. Next, open both global.json and global.json.bak.json using a text editor, and change the inGame field from false to true. Once done, relaunch the game, and you’ll be able to continue right where you left off before the ending.

With that, you have reached the end of this guide. Do not forget to bookmark DigiStatement, as we will keep you posted on all the latest news and guides from the gaming world. Also read: The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Controller Not Working/Disconnecting Issue: Is there any fix yet
