Stray is an upcoming adventure indie game from the developer studio, BlueTwelve Studio, and famous indie game publisher Annapurna Interactive. The game is launching in early 2022 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and also on PlayStation 5.
A Quick Overview of Stray
Stray is a single-player story-driven game where players take on the role of a stray cat. The game takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk world. It features a cat-centric story mode where you explore the neon futuristic world. Players as the titular stray cat solve puzzles, jump across building platforms, and use its claws to climb up walls & furniture. The basis of the puzzle-solving gameplay comes from the interactive environment. Likewise, players journey through the city as a cat as they’re being accompanied by a drone named B-12.
The robotic NPCs and inhabitants of the city are communicable through the drone. Players have to face off against the myriad of dangers and obstacles in the city. Consequently, there are rat-like creatures that players have to avoid and fend off against. Likewise, players also have a purple light beam that they can use to attack the enemy creatures. Is cat customization available in Stray?
As far as cat customization, the currently available trailers and information do not indicate cat customization options. However, there is a possibility that there are various items for slightly changing the cat’s appearance, but there doesn’t seem to be a full-on customization feature so far.
However, there is a likely chance that the developers are holding back some features for later release. It is also possible that cat customization is a feature that comes later on after release.
