Reception around the remake has been generally positive, with most praise going towards the meaning of quality-of-life updates and an easy control scheme. In a way, this new title is a watered-down version of the original, but one that doesn’t falter in delivering an enjoyable experience. Like Stardew Valley and other farming sims, there’s a lot to do in this game, and that can become overwhelming pretty fast if you don’t know what to do. Well, if you are reading this article, then you must want to know how to get and use the Alarm Clock in the game.
Stardew Valley was inspired by the Story of Seasons series (Harvest Moon), and it’s because of Stardew Valley that we are now seeing such a boom in the number of farming sim games. And that momentum just refuses to come to a halt. Now, coming back to the focus of this guide, the Alarm Clock is an important tool in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life if you want to efficiently manage your time in the game. And getting it as soon as possible is preferred by many players. So, here’s a guide that will help you acquire and use it.
Story of Seasons Alarm Clock: How to get, find & use
Get the Alarm Clock
First and foremost, you can’t get the Alarm Clock in your first year in Forgotten Valley. During the first day of your second year, some new people will move into the valley, and among them is a man named Garrett, who arrives and settles down with his family. On the town’s Bulletin Board, Garrett will post a request, asking for Pickled Veggies in exchange for his Alarm Clock. The board request reads something like this:
My Old Alarm Clock
-Found an old alarm clock during the move here
-Will trade for it!
-Ask Garrett (just moved in!)
From Garrett
- Wanted: Pickled Veggies x 1
- Reward: Alarm Clock
Note: The request has no time limit so don’t worry about rushing it.
Now, in order to satisfy Garrett’s request, you will need to make Pickled Veggies. From the following four ingredients, you only need to use two:
- Waturnip
- Caroturn
- Sweeturn
- Turnmato
You may have noticed that all these are hybrid crops. That’s because Garrett prefers them the most. Make the Pickled Veggies and then head straight to Garrett’s place. Interact with him, and you will trigger a cutscene in which he will offer to come set up his old Alarm Clock at your place.
Use Alarm Clock
After setting up the alarm clock at your house, you will be able to access it beside your bedside table. Three arms will be present in the clock: – Two Black arms and one Red arm. The former denotes hours and minutes, while the red one is used to set up the alarm.
Just set the alarm to the hour of your liking, and you will be good to go. Additionally, you can also use it to take naps in the game. Set your alarm for a later time, and you will wake up at that time with your energy fully replenished. You can also turn the Alarm Clock on and off, depending on your choice.
