Starfield was an unforeseen title that shook everybody when first details surfaced online. Who would have thought that a studio known for post-apocalyptic and fantasy settings has been developing an RPG internally?.
The game currently in development and explores space for the studio. There is not much detail about the game, but Bethesda released a teaser trailer at E3 2018. The latest we have heard about the game from Todd Howard at E3 2019.
We’ve gathered all the information available regarding the game. Here is everything we know about Starfield release date, trailer, and gameplay.
Starfield Release Date
Bethesda hasn’t announced Starfield release date yet, but don’t expect the release date anytime soon as we’ve already got Fallout 76 in late 2018. Director Todd Hodward hinted to Gamespot that game might not be released until next-gen release. So, we can’t expect the release window before 2021 as next-gen consoles are expected to hit the stores in 2020.
“Starfield is a game that we have spent years thinking about and working on,” Hodward told during E3 2018 conference and during E3 2019 he told that they want Starfield more than Elder Scrolls 6, but fans need to be patient.
Starfield Trailer
Till now we’ve seen only a teaser trailer of Starfield from the side of the studio during E3 2018 conference. It shows the galaxy filled with stars, sun gazing at a space station from the edge of the desert planet.
Starfield News
Pre-production of Starfield began in March 2013 which means the idea of the game has been in development from long time ago. It is supported by Howard’s comment in YouTube Gaming interview with Geoff Keighley at e3 2018. in which he told everyone that Starfield was in production.”We’ve been talking about it for a decade, we started putting things on paper five, six years ago, and active development was from when we finished Fallout 4, so two and a half, three years.”
He also revealed that the game is in a playable state internally and out of pre-production state.“Starfield is playable, Elder Scrolls VI not in that way yet,” Howard said.
We can hear more about Starfield in 2020, or perhaps at E3 2020. Currently, we can assume that it is coming sooner than The Elder Scrolls 6, which is currently in a pre-production state.
