Splatoon 2 has become wildly popular. Yes, it has. Ever since its release, It has garnered more attention and popularity than its predecessor, Splatoon. A third-person shooter by genre, Splatoon 2 offers exhilarating gameplay and the amazing graphics add up as the cherry on top. As a preamble to the game, Splatoon 2 is a 2017 third-person shooter game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It was released on July 21, 2017, and is a direct sequel to Splatoon, which includes a new story-driven single-player mode and various online multiplayer modes.
Version 5.4.0 will be available for installation on February 25th, 2021. This update will include the following features:-
1) Changed Specifications for some of the main weapons. Weapons like Splattershot, Hero shot replica and Octoshot replica will have an increased likelihood of inking the turf around the character’s feet while firing. Tentatek Splattershot and Kensa Splattershot also have their specifications changed in a similar manner. For 52 Gal, .52 Gal Deco and Kensa .52 Gal, the radius of ink that lands when you shoot far away has been increased by roughly 27%. For Dapple Dualies, Dapple Dualies Nouveau and Clear Dapple Dualies, the ink consumption when shots are fired has been decreased by 5% the same has also been done for Splat Dualies, Enperry Splat Dualies, Kensa Splat Dualies and Hero Dualie Replicas. For H-3 Nozzlenose, H-3 Nozzlenose D, and Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose, the ink consumption has been increased by roughly 25%. For Squeezer, Foil Squeezer, Dualie Squelchers and Custom Dualie Squelchers, the shot spread when firing immediately after jumping in normal stance has been increased by roughly 25%.
2)For the sub-weapon Torpedo, the time until ink begins to refill after use has been extended by roughly 8/60 of a second.
3)Points required for using specials have been changed for certain main weapons. They have been decreased for some weapons such as Kensa Undercover Brella, Kensa splattershot junior (both from 200 to 190). The Firefin Splat Charger, Firefin splatterscope and custom Dualie Squelchers have seen an increase from 210 to 220. E-liter 4k and E-liter 4k scope have seen an increase from 170 to 180.
4) Fixed an issue in Starfish Mainstage in which it was possible to enter the opposing team’s base by jumping from certain walls.
5)Fixed an issue in Manta Maria in which it was possible to enter the opposing team’s base by jumping from certain walls.
6)Fixed an issue in Kelp Dome in which it was possible to enter the opposing team’s base by jumping from certain walls.
7)Fixed an issue in Skipper Pavilion in which it was possible to enter the opposing team’s base by transferring between certain walls.
8)Adjustments have been made to slightly lower the fighting power of certain weapons that could hold the battle line over a long period of time from further away compared to other weapons. In addition, in order increase the variety of weapons being selected, adjustments have been made to several weapons to increase their competitiveness with the most popular weapons.
These changes have been the reason for the excitement and anticipation surrounding this update. Here are a few steps to download and install the update when it is rolled out:-
STEP 1 -> Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the Internet.
STEP 2 -> Return to the home menu and launch the game.
STEP 3 ->Make sure that the update is being downloaded. It will be installed automatically.
STEP 4->Wait till the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen upon successful installation.
STEP 5->Enjoy the new update!!!
You needn’t worry about saved data being lost while updating, it won’t happen and you can continue on from where you’ve last saved even after installing the new update. Also, it is to be noted that Updating to the latest version will disable wireless matchmaking for local multiplayer with players using an earlier version.
