Soulmask is the latest addition to the world of open-world survival games. Although in Early Access, the game is rapidly gaining popularity for its rich lore, dynamic AI, and realistic combat mechanics. However, with the game being relatively new, certain aspects remain unclear, which may have left you puzzled—one such confusion is related to the Tortoise that appears in the game. Now, the question on everyone’s mind is: can it be beaten or even killed? Well, here we are to tell you everything you need to know about the Tortoise in Soulmask and how to beat it.
The tortoise in the game is much like one in real life! It is massive, with a hard carapace, a gentle temperament, and a defensive mechanism that allows it to retract its limbs, head, and tail into its shell when threatened. In the overworld, Tortoises are usually found in mountainous and valley regions and there is also an Elite version available. The problem is that because of the Tortoise’s hard shell, large HP, and rapid healing, these slow-moving animals are difficult to kill. That being said, let’s go through some strategies to kill a Tortoise in Soulmask.
Soulmask: How to beat/kill Tortoise
First things first
The tortoise in Soulmask is immune to bladed weapons. The shell will not take damage from any bladed weapons, corrosive jars, or poison. So, you will have to use a hammer or gauntlet for damage. Also, when threatened, the tortoise retracts into its shell, regenerating its health. Standing in front of it during this time speeds up its healing and during this phase, it will take reduced damage.
Combat Strategies
To defeat the tortoise in Soulmask, get a hammer or gauntlet and make sure to use the special F key attack for maximum damage. While attacking, avoid standing directly in front of the tortoise to steer clear of its biting attacks. And that is not all; the tortoise can even flip on its shell and at this point, if you land your strike, the tortoise will spin towards you with loads of AoE damage so you need to be extra careful at this point. The next thing is to be mindful of the tortoise retreating into its shell and regenerating its health. If you stand in front of the turtle, the health regen will be much faster, and it can even regain all of its health. The best step would be to stand behind the tortoise and then wait patiently for it to come out of its shell. Keep moving around the tortoise, and use your strongest attacks consistently, especially the hammer’s special move, to break through its defenses and win the battle.
With this strategy, you should be able to defeat the Tortoise in Soulmask. Anyway, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement for more awesome gaming news and guides like this. Read more: Bodycam Microphone/Voice Chat Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet
