Sony’s New Party System Is Biting Them Back

Earlier Today Sony posted on their social media admitting the fact that people are disliking the new feature which allows everyone to join any friendly party in  PS4. Their tweet stated, “Hey folks – just wanted to let you know that we’re looking into your feedback on the recent changes to Parties on PS4. Thanks for speaking up – we’ll keep you posted”.The recent PS4 firmware update to 8.00 brought a change to the console’s party system which led to a spike in this controversy.

The real issue here is that now the console’s messaging system is combined with party functionality which leads to unintentionally forming a party. For now, you can only invite your friends to your party via message groups you’ve already been a part of or ever participated. But earlier you had the ability to create a party which may be’open’ or ‘private, which is unavailable now. And it will force someone to send a message or create a message group to invite a friend to a party rather than the previous feature which allowed your friends to drop in and out of a party based on their own choice.

Sony is working on this to revert and make a more stable and efficient platform according to the choice of the users which they have quickly responded to and also made it clear that how much customer satisfaction matters to them.
