But as we mentioned earlier, you will need a pot first to cook all of the available dishes in the game. Let us see where exactly they are located on the map.
Sons of the Forest Cooking Pot: How to get, find, & use
For now, the community is aware of a few obvious places where these cooking pots can be found. To begin your quest for the cooking pot, head to the eastern side of the map. Instead of venturing out along the coastline, stick to the banks on the right side of the big lake. Keep exploring this specific part and make sure you are on the right side of the lake. With enough luck, you should be able to spot the narrow bunker entrance (Cave Bunker). Make your way to the ruined bunker, which can be accessed with a guest keycard. But if you already have the Action Cam in your inventory, it is likely that you have been to this bunker before and thus already have the Guest keycard to access it. After that, all that is left to do is explore the lower parts of the bunker to find the first cooking pot. Another cooking pot can be found on the western side of the map. More specifically at the abandoned camp site. Make your way there, and you should see the pot in the middle of the camp.
Now, coming to the process of using it, it is simple. Just like in real life, you will need fire, water, and some ingredients to cook. Begin by lighting a fire at a spot that you see fit. Next up is filling up the pot with some water. Of course, you need to be close to a water source to do this. And finally, head to the fire and pull up your inventory. Press the corresponding button to place the pot on top of the fire. Now that the pot is on fire, just add the ingredients to the pot or make use of the menu that pops up (using the cog wheel) to cook the desired dish.
