It is usually considered the hardest region among the others. Just like other regions, Taymyr is filled with tons of collectible vehicles. But little is known about the unlockable map set within Taymyr. It is the Quarry that forms the heart of the Taymyr region. This map includes a variety of terrain, from hilly to muddy. It is said that Quarry is a little difficult to enter and exit without proper preparations. In addition to this, Quarry does not have a garage for the player. So, if you are interested in exploring this map, you must unlock it first.

SnowRunner: How to Unlock Quarry
Quest Name: Geological Exploration
The initial step to unlocking the quarry is to get yourself an Azov 64131 or a Royal BM17. Both of them are powerful/stable vehicles that are big and strong enough to handle terrain of varied difficulty. After getting your hands on any of the vehicles, proceed to install the Seismic Vibrator module on it. Now, you are all set to start the “Geological Exploration” quest in Taymyr, which includes unlocking the Quarry as part of it. Upon starting this quest, you will be tasked with three objectives.
- You must search and scan the North, South, and West points of the map. The North point is located near the forests in the top-middle region of the map. The South point is situated in the forests in the bottom-right region of the map. Finally, the west point is located in the grasslands near the lake, situated in the left portion of the map.
- Now, you are required to visit each of these locations and use your seismic vibrator every time to search and scan. Upon completing this, you would have completed the “Geological Exploration” mission.
Quest Name: Looking Beyond the Horizon
Starting this mission will require you to complete several objectives. First, collect x1 Metal Planks, then x2 Service Spare Parts. Finally, you will be expected to get x1 Cargo Container. All the collected items must be delivered to the Radar Tower. Complete the mission with any truck of your choice.
Upon completing these missions, the gateways to the Quarry region will be opened. All you have to do is travel to the top-left region and approach the gateway. You are all in!
